Timeroid is an intervallometer application for
Android smartphones.
It has a self timer that alerts you after a repeated delay, e.g. five times
every ten seconds. 
Timeroid is also able to control the camera of the phone. This is especially
usefull when one wants to take picture without holding the phone, or without
access to the snapshot button.

This is an update for Nivobulle, which then goes in version 1.1 .
The update includes a bug fix when the phone goes in landscape mode. Previously, the display was broken. This is now fixed.

This is a new blog I wanted to have to write all kind of stuff about
mobility in general.
I did it sometimes on this wapcam.mobi blog, for exemple with phone reviews,
but I felt I should have a blog dedicated to that task rather than occupying
this blog. I also had trouble keeping on writing here as I spent much time
lately on my photography blog and new
developments not related to wapcam.
This is now done and, as caketuzz is a mobile-oriented company, it really
feels right to have that new blog.

This version allows you when you quit and re-run the application to recover
the parameters that were previously entered. Hence you find your previous
tuning back and win in productivity.
As usual, an upgrade from PocketDOF version 1.0 or 1.1 is free.
Note to Android users: For reasons regarding the application signature, if you had a previous version installed on you handset, you may have to first un-install that application before installing the newer one. This occurs when you try to install the latest version but that the installation fails.
If that happens, first uninstall the installed version, then rerun the installation of the latest version of POcketDOF. In that case, you will have to re-enter the unlocking code of the application.

This version includes the reverse DOF feature.
Contrary to the classical depth-of-field calculation, the reverse DOF feature allows you to calculate the focus distance and moreover the minimal aperture , given the lens focal and the near and far limit of sharpness.
Upgrading PocketDOF from version 1.0 to version 1.1 is free.

PocketDOF is dedicated to photographers who want to calculate the hyperfocal
distance as well as the depth of field according to your configuration (camera,
lens) from your WM device. 
So what's this for?
The hyperfocal distance is used mostly on the field and represents, given a
configuration, the distance from which everything will be sharp. Once your lens
is set to that distance, you don't have to touch it anymore and hence you will
be ready to shoot instantly.
The depth of field, well it's the area of sharpness in front of your camera. It
depends on the lens focal distance, f-stop and the distance to the subject too.
For example, with a 50mm/1.8 mounted on Nikon D40X three meters far from your
subject, the DOF is 25cm. Pretty useful to know especially when you don't have
an autofocus enabled.
The application is currently available for windows mobile, either
smartphones or pocketpc (with a .Net compact framework). It will very soon be
available for android and Bada too. PocketDOF is worth 2€ and can be purchased
via paypal.
